Airmee is one of Europe’s fastest growing logistics startups transforming last-mile delivery, backed by some of Sweden’s biggest investors and entrepreneurs. We help e-commerce by leveraging machine learning and powerful proprietary research-based technology to provide convenient and fast e-commerce deliveries same day or as fast as within the hour.

As CMO at Airmee, you will build a first-class marketing and communications function from scratch, and lead our work in marketing, brand, communications, design and public affairs. Delivering parcels every day to a significant portion of the population in markets where Airmee is present, the preconditions are in place for building an incredibly strong and well-known consumer brand. Airmee is also a driving force in creating a sustainable future. Telling that story in compelling ways will be a key component of our communications. Going forward, building brand reputation among both consumers and businesses will be a top priority for the company.

Role overview

This is a unique opportunity to have a central role at one of Europe’s fastest growing tech companies, making a wide impact on people’s everyday lives. As the CMO, you will work across many aspects of our business with a focus on our customers (consumers and e-commerce merchants). You are a strong leader and strategist, with a creative, entrepreneurial and content-driven mindset. And as such, you are a thought-leader within the field of marketing communications. With support from your colleagues, you should have the potential to build one of the strongest brands of the decade and beyond. The role will require you to work both strategically and hands-on.

You will be building a marketing and communications team, starting small and gradually growing bigger at a high pace. You will also drive the development and execution of world-class marketing plans and campaigns that create brand impact, as well as data-driven marketing strategies to deliver growth at scale. Your task will be to help create the future of the brand: an iconic and influential category shaper in the world of logistics. You need to handle the duality between broad and narrow audiences, driving both B2B lead generation, targeting specific companies and decision-makers, while at the same time raising awareness and likability in broad groups of consumers.

So, what will you do?

  • Develop an overall marketing strategy for the company, adapted for iterative development and implementation in a fast-moving environment 

  • As part of the strategy, optimize our marketing and channel mix, based on a deep and thorough understanding of the whole spectrum of channels and tools to build brand

  • Create impactful marketing narratives resonating with our customers based on research and analytics of the market and users, and determine our positioning on the market

  • Facilitate development of new project ideas from inception to completion

  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and its stakeholders

  • Work with various marketing agencies to build break-through, consumer-centric work

  • Lead development of sustainability communications platform and co-develop sustainability projects and initiatives

  • Quickly iterate and test different marketing tactics and executions based on channel and target groups to deliver optimal campaign results

  • Taking business strategy and translating to customer creative/activation concepts across social channels

  • Lead efforts across internal teams and external agency partners to enable innovative brand and reputational campaigns that achieve our brand and business goals

  • Work strategically and tactically to maximize B2B lead generation, through account-based marketing

  • Create brand (purpose, promise, pillars, voice) and messaging frameworks

  • Act as a representative and spokesperson for the company within your fields of expertise and responsibility

What're we looking for?

  • 7-10 years of marketing experience with a strong record of delivering highly successful user acquisition and engagement strategies, with a focus on B2B2C 

  • Having worked in a startup or company with exponential growth, or other extraordinarily fast-paced environments

  • An eye for talent, the ability to attract top marketing and communications talent, and leading them in a change-oriented environment

  • Experience in digital advertising, particularly social

  • Proven track record of delivering successful and breakthrough work, with a high bar for quality, productivity, and delivering results

  • Possesses a flair for storytelling and crafting impactful and compelling narratives

  • Consumer obsessed, with a drive to continuously learn more about our core consumers, identify how our products meet their needs, and understand how to most effectively share our brand message with them

  • A fierce bias towards action. This is not a role for someone that just wants to analyze and strategize, but for someone that will create concrete actions and results and never stop pushing towards complete delivery 

  • Never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on to get stuff done

  • A positive, entrepreneurial spirit, skilled at multitasking, delivering under tight timelines and adapting quickly to change

  • Excellent skills in articulating our products and the value they create

  • Comfortable with a hands-on environment that involves driving end to end campaign execution

  • An exceptional eye for marketing concepts
